There are two businesses that provide trash service to Hills of Troy. Both typically pick up on Fridays. Town of Troy Recycling Center is also an options for disposing of unwanted items.
INTERNET SERVICE
There are a few options for internet service in Hills of Troy.

As soon as possible, please drop the HOA Board a quick note via email with your name, email, and phone number so we can update our records and add you to the Hills of Troy HOA Google group. Once you are added to the Google group, you will receive HOA news, announcements, and financial reports directly in your email inbox.
NEXTDOOR APP
Our community also makes use of the NextDoor (www.nextdoor.com) social media application to connect our residents. Once the HOA Board has your contact information, you will also be invited to join Hills of Troy on NextDoor.

COVENANT highlights
The Homeowners' Association (HOA) is in place to manage the common areas, protect property values by enforcing community agreed standards (as defined by the Covenant), and resolve any disputes among residents. Below are highlighted some of the provisions that impact daily living.

GARBAGE & RECYCLING BINS
- Collection bins should be stored in the garage. If left outside of the garage, they must be enclosed or otherwise screened from the public view.
- Collection bins may be placed out for collection 24 hours in advance and should be returned to normal storage by the end of collection day. Please coordinate with your neighbors to put the cans away if you are out of town.
LANDSCAPING AND LAWNCARE
- Landscaping and lawns should be regularly maintained with normal and seasonal upkeep.
- Residents must completely remove and replace dead trees and shrubs with ones of consistent size. Contact ARC if you do not intend to replace as this constitutes a change in landscape design.
- Seasonal maintenance must include cutting back shrubs and grasses.
- Dead plantings part of the initially deployed landscape plan should be removed and replaced in timely fashion with similarly sized stock
- Weeds (thistle, dandelions, clover, creeping charley, etc.) must be managed and minimized in the maintained/sodded portions of the lawn.
PETS
- No more than three dogs or three cats.
- Pets must be under an owner’s direct control while off the owner’s property. Owners must pick up after their pets in common areas of the development.
- Fences and kennels may be permitted with an HOA Architectural Committee approval.
VEHICLE PARKING & STORAGE
- Outside parking of more than two vehicles is prohibited on any lot for any continuous period more than seven days. Short-term exceptions may be requested here.
- Outside storage of commercial type vehicles such as motorhomes, recreational vehicles, semi-trucks, boats, campers, trailers & snowmobiles is prohibited on any lot for any continuous period more than seven days. Short-term exceptions may be requested here.
- No motorbikes, motorcycles, snowmobiles, four wheelers, or and other noisy vehicles shall be operated on any lot other than to bring them to an enclosed point of storage.
OUTBUILDINGS, FENCES, & PLAYSETS
- Storage buildings, pool mechanical enclosures, children’s clubhouses are allowed in areas that are visibly unobtrusive. ARC review and approval is required prior to any construction.
- The design must be consistent with the architectural style of the home and constructed of high quality materials.
- Structures must be no closer than 20 feet from all common lot lines.
- All non-permanent structures must be removed within 7 days unless approved by the ARC.
AFTER HOURS
- Hills of Troy is customarily a quiet neighborhood from 9PM to 7AM. Please be respectful of neighbors after hours as it relates to noise and celebrations.
- Hills of Troy employs a “Dark Sky” approach for exterior and community lighting to minimize light pollution and unwanted illumination. All exterior lighting must provide for significant shielding of the light source to prevent directing towards or otherwise illuminating neighboring homes.
